Nestled within Parque Nacional Piedras Blancas on the southern tip of Costa Rica’s Península de Osa, Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Eco Sanctuary offers a remote yet immersive retreat where guests connect with both jungle and ocean. Located approximately 4.6 kilometers from the park entrance and just over eight miles inland from Golfito Airport, this sanctuary provides easy access to nearby attractions like Yacai Village (5 km away) and La Gamba Puerto Golfito (also 5 km). The property blends rustic charm with thoughtful amenities, including private beach areas and non-smoking rooms designed for comfort without sacrificing authenticity. Guests report consistently clean accommodations equipped with mosquito nets around beds—a practical touch given the lush rainforest setting—and spacious layouts suitable for small groups or families seeking privacy. Dining options include an on-site restaurant serving healthy meals, complemented by a bar for casual refreshments after activities. Beyond lodging, the sanctuary emphasizes adventure through guided excursions such as hiking trails within Piedras Blancas National Park, kayaking tours along Golfo Dulce’s calm waters, fishing trips targeting local species, and daily yoga sessions held twice daily under shaded pavilions. Snorkeling outings occasionally reveal dolphin pods swimming alongside boats, adding unforgettable moments to stays here. Reviewers frequently highlight the attentive staff’s expertise in navigating logistics—from airport transfers via speedboat to arranging transport between Golfito Airport (42 km distant) and Puerto Jiménez Airport (143 km)—ensuring seamless transitions into nature-focused experiences.
